Poll Does anyone else feel sick from not owning a PS4 ? (47 votes)

No, I have one, MUWAHAHA ! 74%
Yes :( I am going to kill myself ! 26%

Seriously, why did I not bother to pre-order or go to a launch :( !

Anyways, stocks are showing as available from Feb 2014, anyone heard any other news ?

Also, lucky PS4 owners, what are you initial thoughts ?

I got mine at launch, but I was in my local best buy yesterday and they had Xbox Ones and PS4s available. If you really want one, call around your local stores and see if they have any.

Ye I think I will, but I want the big bundles, so instead of cash or credit card, if I wait I can get on a BNPL 12 months interest free.

HMMMM !!!!

No actually. I think I'd feel sick if I owned a PS4... It really has nothing right now. It's better to wait.

Ya, because being able to play PS4 & my PS3 is worse than only my PS3. And waiting 1.5-2 years for a price drop is better. Lol

I Abstain from those choices...

And no... I'll buy one when it's worth buying one. With almost no AAA titles available for either system, currently and with no sales/discounts in sight for such games... I'll stick to last gen., for now. Dark Souls II and Persona 5 should last me a while, anyways.

While I don't feel like I'm missing out, PS4's launch lineup seems great to me. Of course, more games won't come for a system that just came out a month ago. Patience is key.

Yes that is better... Getting the same console for cheaper with more games is a good idea. It's better than blowing all that money early and then waiting for good games to come out bit by bit.

As it stands right now PS4 has no games that I want and only one announced for its future right now. I'd be pretty annoyed with myself if I blew my money on a PS4 at this moment, but it definitely will be worth it a year or two in the future

That's right, because being able to play good games with faster better graphics sooner is better. I disagree & apparently so do many millions of other people buying it long before a price drop.

The more people that wait for a price drop hurts Sony & the PS4 owner, because the more people that buy PS4s get more game developers interested in making games for it and sooner.

There is a reason why consoles get released just before December.

I want my hands on one before my semester starts again....I'll still be playing in Jan and onwards, but I actually want to have a full day gaming marathon.

I've felt sick with not having anything new to play in general. Mostly been replaying my old PS3 games... But oh well, Infamous: Second Son is my most anticipated PS4 game, and since it will be released around my birthday, next March sounds like the perfect time for me to pick one up.

Of course not. There's still 50+ titles I have to play before I buy a PS4. There is nothing out or on the near horizon that beckons me to get one now. When Deep Down is out and maybe UC4, I'll consider picking one up.

No I feel pretty good knowing that my PS4 is nestled under my Christmas tree. I saw the demo kiosk at Gamestop and I have to admit it looks really good but I haven't seen KZSF which is going to be amazing. Hang in there buddy and hopefully you will get one soon.

No, had a preorder but cancelled it. Not any games I want to play. Might pick one up at this time next year.

No real reason to jump for a PS4 at the moment. A little patience goes a long way.

Don't really care because I'm not getting one until feb anyway with my tax money. Right now I'm enjoying TLOU and GTA5 with a whole bunch of plus games to get into. Also getting NHL 14 tomorrow for $15.00

Assassin's creed and Killzone have been very fun and have kept me busy in my free time. It's a very fast system with a ridiculous amount of potential. I didn't expect amazing games all over the place as soon as the system launched but I'm gonna be one happy camper once infamous, uncharted, thief, and watchdogs are released.

(I wont even mention Elder Scrolls Online, Dead Space, Resistance, etc.)

Yeah no reason to wait on getting the PS4 since there are multiplats. Thajewbear pretty much stated the ultimate lineup except forgot to mention that Driveclub.

I've been looking for a PS4 when I go to the store, but still have plenty of PS3 games to keep me busy while I wait and I can catch up on older games I may have missed or didn't want to pay full price for.

What a stupid poll lol. If I wanted crappy launch software I'd have pre-ordered one. As is I'm still buying software for PS3 and will be well in to next year.

Maybe I'll get a PS4 around the second quarter of 2014 if it gets enough quality software to justify a purchase.

My bother got the ps4 and kill zone, he also got the Xbox one. I've played kill zone and wasn't that impressed, yes the gfx were good but the game was lacking fun for me. I actually just bought a Xbox one, the ps4 just doesn't have any games that I want to play. I'll get one eventuly but I decided to get the xbox first.

I've always loved PlayStation I owned all consoles so far, but last gen I stuck with the 360 mostly because of XBL. I played PS3 for mostly exclusives.

I really like it, the games are ok but Live On PlayStation is real awesome. The UI is great, it's powerful, and fast.

I want one, but I don't really feel like I'm missing out on anything now. Anything that really interests me, that is. Plus there's only a chunk of 2014 PS4 games I'm currently looking at, so I'm in no huge rush. I do expect I'll buy one sometime within the first half of next year, though.

I do feel pretty sick at the moment since it's always fun to be one of the first people to own the new console. But I have yet to get full use out of my semi-new ps3. I want to enjoy playing exclusives and a bunch of other games that came out for it over the years of its existence. We will be together soon enough my dear playstation 4, soon enough. : )

I'm glad I nabbed one. Unless you literally just started gaming in the last couple years, there's really not much recent life to the PS3/360, nor is there any more life to come to it. The PS4 is certainly leagues beyond anything on the PS3 - even just a game like Battlefield 4 has exponential replay value than any game ever made for the PS3. For once, console multiplayer feels fully fleshed out. There is plenty of great launch software to last me until more good stuff comes out.

I like to be able to enjoy it sooner rather than later & help to ensure Sony success and bring games to the console faster. You are a bad consumer by waiting. That thinking hurts Sony and delays games coming to the console even further. If all thought like you again it would ruin gaming. Sony struggled with the PS3 & now they're doing things better with the PS4 by bringing in more income to ensure profitability. People like you think Sony can just make a hundred games day 1 and they can't. They need your support & not your cheap thinking.

What a bunch of utter nonsense. I own and fully support both Vita and PS3, and most likely buy more software for those systems than you do.

You really expect people to buy something without software they're interested in? I have zero interest in games like Killzone and Knack, yet you expect me to spend $400 on a PS4 just to support Sony?

You're either trolling or a small child.

Got my PS4 Killzone bundle sitting in my room, picked it up yesterday from EB Games after it finally arrived (Australia). Haven't had the time to set it up yet but it will look nice sitting next to my Xbox One, hehe. Lifes good.

I'm perfectly content to wait on buying a PS4 as there aren't any next gen games on either console that interest me right now. I've also got a PC so I've been looking at next gen graphics for quite some time now.

No Not at all, All the games I want to play are available on PS3. The launch titles seem better in 2014, and by then all the bugs should be fixed. I'm happy I saved $400

Good Lord, how about the proper third option: "I'm being a wise consumer and waiting until I've a) caught up on my current gen backlog b) weighed my budget and determined it's a proper expenditure c) am waiting for a good amount of quality games so it's not a $400 Netflix streamer

You don't have to feel bad for not having the latest and greatest, be content with what you do have!

It's not my job to ensure the success of a company. It's the company's job to entice customers to buy their products. Think more like an empowered consumer instead of a loyal brand follower. You'll get more for your money that way.

No, you have an opinion that people shouldn't buy a console until lots of games are out. That's BS, as it would make the company fail. If you read back to my first response it was in response to you stating that. Say "I am waiting until there are games out that interest me" or " It's good that there's people who buy the PS4 early, but I am going to wait til more games are out" Don't bash people who buy it early & support Sony & are the reason the console will do well & ensure greater games success & support for the console.

Then don't comment negatively about it having few games. Every console has few games in the beginning. That doesn't mean no one should buy it. It's very-very good that there's strong interest in it & people buying it early. Buy it now and play them as they come out. What's the big F'n deal about doing that? You act as if people are dumb to do that. You told me I would be better off as a consumer to do it your way. Really? There would be no Sony gaming division if people thought that way. It would release & not 1 would sell. It's your opinion that you are better off waiting. That is not what's best. It's best when people show great interest & buy it quickly. This shows great desire for game developers to make games for it as they can turn a profit since making a game takes a lot of time and money.
