do you HAVE to update to play the newest games

#1 Posted by zoetropehans (8 posts) -

Hello,

I'm pretty new here. I bought a PS3 with firmware 4.55. I have not connected the PS3 to internet. when for example Fifa 15 or Diablo III reaper of souls comes out, do I HAVE to update my Ps3 to firmware 4.60. I don't want to play on PSN ore don't want to install updates for the game. Can you play the newest games (original ofcourse) when you have not fully updated your firmware?

@zoetropehans:

If the game wants a newer firmware to play, it will be on the BD, you don't have to worry about it.

You do not need the internet, you just buy the games you want and the game will automatically update your system firmware if it needs to.
