Defiance (Used)

Can this game be bought used? Didn't know if it used a single online pass or activation key.

im now checking the box content of my new sealed defiance copy , and the only code it includes is for a 30day PS+ trial and a code for limited edition items, no online pass

You can rent it (in the UK at least) and it just says it needs an online connection.
