Like most people, my PS4 is constantly connected to the internet. I use the PS4 to play DVD's that I legally own.

Does the PSN monitor or track the DVD's that you play? All of the technology seems to be in place for them to monitor this, but I can't seem to find any articles saying that they do.

Just curious....

@roseke69:

No, why would PSN or Sony care how much porn you watch? it doesn't help them in any possible way or generate revenue.

LOL. Sure, knowing my porn habits is possible revenue. If I watch certain kinds of vids, they can tailor ads to what I'm into. That would explain all the cheerleader outfit sales.

Yes they can, but they dont, if you watch bluray movies on PS3, it installs to your harddisk information regarding the bluray movie that u had just watched, i suppose it does the same on PS4. This information is available on your harddisk for a later use if needed.

It is technically possible, but by reading through the TOS and other legal documents i think they should mention that they are legally allowed to monitor and log your action if necessary. Remember even Facebook does it and that is how you find "personalized" ads as you browse, it even sneaks on your browsing history.

Fear not though they won't take any action unless you were reported by someone and then they will check and investigate your usage and messages i suppose. Or the NSA is after you, then your digital/virtual security will be compromised.

@Shatilov Hello there mister! 3:)
