I lost my PS3 power cord and need to get another.

Can I just use any regular PC power cord?

PC power cords look the exact same as the PS3 power cord (a basic thre prog socket that plugs into your PC or PS3) so I think this should be fine.

Are there different types of PC power cords (e.g. different voltage etc.) or all they all the same?

I live in North America and PS3 is from North America.

Thanks for any advice

Na they're all the same as long as they fit. Like with a PC, the PS3's powersupply is internal.

yeah pick up any of them. i've used thick ones, skinny ones, grey ones, black ones on my PS3. If it fits, it's a PC cord. It'll work.
