Can A Broken Screen Be Fixed?

So my PSP screen broke inside and was wondering if it can be repaired?

Yea Sony charges $ 80 bucks

You can either send the PSP back to Sony

OR

You can get creative and open up the PSP, buy a new screen, and hook it up if you're good like that. I would fix it myself if the PSP is out of warranty.
