Are you going to change your PSN ID when PS4 arrives?

I know we're a long way off from PS4. I'm in no rush to see it. So don't get me wrong; this isn't about pumping people up for PS4. It's just a straight-up question:

Will you change your PSN ID when the PS4 arrives?

Will it be time for a fresh start, or are you going to stick with your current account?

I'll most likely change mine up. I'm going to wipe the slate clean.
Just like how I clean out My Collection on Gamespot when a new gaming gen starts..

Unless they allow us to make a name change, I think I'll keep it the same. I don't want to have to bother creating a new email just to have a different PSN account. Besides, if digital content is backwards compatible I'll still want to be able to access the downloadable games I currently have on my account.

Nope. I like my name the way it is. Just glad I got it because I was 3 years late with the PS3. It's staying with me as long as possible.

I will keep my name, like I did with all my other machines and game sites. I see no need to change, my GS account, my XBL account, my PSN, my EA, my Steam...I don't see why I would do that, it would just create more of a hassle trying to remember more names and more passwords.

Besides, what about all my DLC, PSN games and stuff? Why would I ditch all that? Why would anyone?

How do you know if we are going to have the opportunity to change or even log in with our old account's? Yeah, i cant see why sony would not allow this. But still, you cant be 100% sure that PS4 will use same network.

I never use the same ID, with different ones for Gamespot, PSN and Xbox Live, so yes I'll be changing mine when PS4 comes out.

No - I hope we can use our existing PSN /SEN accounts so we can keep our trophies etc when the PS4 comes out.

Wouldn't that screw me over doing that? I mean wouldn't making a new account mean I lose everything I bought on my current PSN account? Where is the logic in that? No, I think I will stick to what I have.AmazonTreeBoa

I would keep it the same but its not a bad idea to have different ids and passwords. If everything was the same then if you got hacked then everything would be hacked.

No not really. I don't see the point. Unless Sony allows that feature and we can keep all records of trophies and downloaded PSN games.

Well considering they announced that it's not directly backwards compatible with PS3 and PSN games, it's not likely that we'll be transfering our old accounts to the PS4. Even if we did, the trophies, other than the level attained, would be meaningless since we can't go back and finish the games. I'm hoping the Gaikai streaming pulls through and we can use the old Blu-Ray discs on the PS4 to just tell it what game it is and allow us to stream it, I'm not willing to rebuy 50+ games. Anyways, I'll be changing my name since I want to get rid of all the numbers in my PSN name.

same. hopefully, we can transfer our ps3 account on to ps4.

if they actually allow us to change it then yeah. but i wouldn't change it fully, just kinda get rid of the numbers and add on to it.

Yes i will change my PSN id. A freah start. Since PS4 is not B/C with PS3. there is no point trophy count will not port over. even Dowloaded games are not compatible. So there is not point. Plus I will keep my PS3 consoles anyway.

Playstation 4 is a new beginning. So a new PSN ID for Me.

I would like to change my name, but would rather keep my trophies. I was going to change it to the same name as my XBL ID anyways which is mostly my first and middle name.

If we can't tranfer our trophies I will never go out of my way to get one ever again

I'm keeping mine, I've had the same one for over 10 years now, since the early days of PS2.

Nope and I hope we never have to outright abandon our accounts. 

If I can keep my PSN ID I will, however I have no problem starting a new one If need be.

I may or may not change my username if I can, but apart from that I'm sticking to my guns.

I probably will. RTUUMM isnt every exciting and people have a hard time saying it. They call me Re-Tum or RT.

Since I'm most likely switching from Xbox to PlayStation, I'll try my best to get DanoTheDinosaur when making a new PSN account.

If they allow us to carry over our name and junk to the PS4, then i'll keep it. If not, i'll change it.
