All My Destiny Characters Were Deleted!

Just logged on to find out all my characters were deleted. I did not share play with anyone. Words cannot describe how I feel right now. Hundreds of hours.....gone. I can't even think right now. I understand nothing can be recovered but I can't even think right now. I've tweeted to bungie, sent email which I'm not even sure if it was the right one. I logged in at 5:30pm eastern time but My friend told me I was on at 2:00pm so it seems I was hacked. I also posted this on Reddit, gamefaqs, and Bungie. I know it's a game but most people would understand the grief. Sorry for troubling people but I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.

Just contact bungie. Pretty simple. "Nothing can be recovered" seems harsh

You should just delete that garbage game, or trade it in. The DLC isn't coming out until May 19th, and it's going to be a few sorry assed missions with another raid and some better gear so you can continue to play the same old missions and strikes over and over again.

Sorry to hear that, OP. In this day and age, you really need to be paranoid about the security of your accounts, whether they be your online bank account or PSN account. I've had various accounts compromised due to hacks of various sites. Most cases I've seen people try to reset my password, but I did get banned on one MMO. Thankfully, it's a game I don't care about and their customer support is horrible so no sweat off my back.

I recommend everyone check out https://pwnedlist.com/ to see if they have possibly compromised accounts

I can't imagine spending hundreds of hours on something and losing all that work overnight.
