WOW! Overpriced games!

My local gamespot just got a shipment of new-old games (if that makes sense) and they IMO they are ridicuosly overpriced, like Spyhunter for £30 (dont know what that is in dollars) and some quiz game i never heard of wit terrible graphics for £35 and San Andreas (platinum) was somewhere in that price region as well.

I understand that they aren't used but would you agree that those prices are ridiculous?

Some of the overpriced greatest hits games may just be due to lack of updating the price stickers. I once bought a whole bunch of ps1 games at gamestop and they all turned out to be cheaper than the price on their stickers! This also happened to me with some xbox games. When you think about how many ps2 games they have to keep track of... Some of the prices have got to be off. And also, people see the wrong prices and just turn away, no one really tries to buy them or ask about it, so they may not pick up on the errors.

I saw Mercenaries at GameStop for $30. Why is this game $30? It's a "greatest hits".Lyphe2k

yeah i agree ... im lucky because im my country games dont go up from ten dollars even 5 dollars

Well i live in spain and PS2 games like Tekken 4 costs around 10 euros! dont know how much that is in dollars but that´s really cheap! and they were selling Killzone for like 15 euros.. that´s really cheap!:D

Wow, that is indeed overpriced. But ya, like the previous post, its due to supply and demand. If people really like a game, its popular, they maintain its price in a certain range. But they do get out of control with it sometimes. I went to Microplay a while ago, wanting to pick FF7 (I beat it while I borrowed it from a friend and wanted to get my own copy), so expecting no more than about $35, I see a whopping $80 price tag. That game is legendary and amazing, but $80 in the era of next gen consoles and games, no dice.thisguy12345

Yeah... ever since Advent Children was released FF7's prices skyrockted.... before Advent Children, FF7 was selling for 5 bucks.
