Ofcourse I would, I'm over the age of 18 and I consider myself desensitized to violence of any kind. The problem is this AO rating will mean that Australia most likely won't be getting the game and Sony and Nintendo won't accept AO games on their systems.
If it's any good, I'll get it. The whole AO is just some ultra-conservative quantification of the game in the vein of The Simpsons woman who cries, "Won't somebody please think of the children?!?"
No, because it can't be released with an AO because of the console manifacturers. And even when it gets re-rated (I'm 23), I've no intentions of ever playing it.
Maybe on PS2 but the Wii controls seem like going to far for my tastes, with that said I wish Nintendo and Sony would change their minds about letting there be AO rated games on their systems.
Ya, I'm definetly getting this game when it comes out for the Wii AO or MA. They're probably going to take out a few rape scenes, necrophilic scenes, and that one scene where this guy's scrotum gets ripped off. I can honestly live without those. I'm just hoping they don't F up the gameplay.
I have no interest in the game whatever its rating--seems like its just pandering to the lowest common denominator to me. I think it should absolutely be available for sale, but can't see why anyone would want it.
i think we should wait for pc version for full version. for now it will be released as m rating then rockstar will make director's cut version for pc = full version with AO rating and AO rating is free on PC games.

but still, sony should let rockstart to release the game, as AO rated. because these consoles are not only for kids.
1: They "fix" the game slightly to barely make a "Mature" rating.
2: They cancel the game all-together and we don't get to play Manhunt2
I sure hope they do the first option. The first game is pretty cool, and If they make a 2nd i'll have a new game to buy for my ps2. But i dunno if Rockstar has enough money to release the game and the possible battles in court they could see. But it looks like GTA IV will play it safe and be "hot-coffee" free. :-)
