When I move or shake my controller, there is some rattling... Is it time to get a replacement? I've stopped playing because of that.

Must be a loose part. See if it still works, if it does, keep using it. I wouldn't freak out over it.

Most likely a loose part. I have the same problem because I threw my controller on the ground out of frustration and a piece of plastic splintered off. I should open it and remove it, but then again, I'm getting a PS3 in 1 month so why bother.

That has happened to both of my controllers. It's usually nothing serious, like a small piece of broken plastic. You can open it up and take it out if you want, but be careful, 'cause sometimes the "L" and "R" buttons are hell trying to get back in place.

It's probably just a loose tiny piece of plastic or a tiny granules slipped in past the thumb sticks and is rattling inside.

Happened to two of my controllers and even slightly cracked the touch pad on one. (Crash Bandicoot, Stormy Ascent, controller thrown at wall lol the other one was losing the Madden Superbowl by one point) it’s slightly annoying but the controllers work perfectly still. Not paying £90 to replace them when they work lol

Its plastic from where the motors are for vibration. The plastic is always super thin and breaks but the motor is so squashed in, it doesn't move anyway.
