I want Need for Speed: High Stakes (PS) better than Underground and Underground 2, which I have played. The music keeps getting louder and are all rap songs. The music is softer and much better in High Stakes, also where not all places are URBAN in setting, unlike newer releases in PS2.

I would say Carbon. Though some of the battles and stages can be a bit frustrating.

yep me too. High Stakes for PS1 and PC. the PC version more, coz you could download soooo many different cars. they dont do that anymore. plus the driving felt so much better.

NFS2 is close behind High Stakes for my favourite of all time.

Man I hated the NFS series before Underground. Underground through Carbon were pretty good though. My favorite being Most Wanted, I love U2 because it has the best trick your ride mechanics, but most wanted definately has better replay value since it gives you something other than racing to do when your bored. Carbon wasnt good at anything but it was still fun, the downhill race against an opponent was an awesome new mode. Pro Street ruins the series and make it suck again. With its forced realistic physicsand heavy tuner influence that are unrealistic it just sucks every ounce of fun out of the game. Even going through the menu's and stuff feels wrong and overly complicated and not fun.

Even though I got Carbon on the PS3, I gotta say I loved Most Wanted more on the PS2 because you can keep taking the same races over again and get the same amount of money to be able to mod your frigging cars in which you can't do on Carbon because the money rewards go to hell when you finish races. Also, I loved the Underground NFS games, in which #2 was awesome online and all that.

My favorite is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. It has the awesome cars and cool daytime stages. I'm not into those tuner cars much and those dark night stages that were in the other series. Too dark! However, I really wanna try Most Wanted because that looks cool. I think NFS series is so much better than the Gran Turismo series but Burnout 3: Takedown is the BEST RACING GAME ON PS2. There isnt any comparison to that game!

Most Wanted black Edition or Undrground 2. Most wanted cause of the cops + better graphics than the Undergrounds and Underground 2 cause of the customization. If u got the customization from Undrground 2 and the cops from most wanted ud hav one mint game.
