What are the best RPG's of the Playstation 2?

Now that its summer, I'm looking for a lengthy new RPG to play... and quite honestly the PS2 is the only platform out right now where I can find a wide variety of different RPG's. My initial thought was to buy Kingdom Hearts 2 since I'm about to beat the first one, but tbh the story is somewhat lacking in the game... and I'm really just looking for a game that is lengthy with a great story, while still being fun to play of course.

So, you tell me, what are the great RPG's of the Playstation 2? Currently, I have Kingdom Hearts, FFX, FFXI, FFXII, Star Ocean, and DragonQuest VIII.

There are TONS of RPGs on the ps2. I recommend Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Dragon Quest VIII, Shin Megami Tensei series, Dark Cloud 2, Kindgom Hearts, the list is long.

Final Fantasy 10-2 is a good one, and seeing as it looks like you enjoy FF games, it would be a nice addition. And KH2 is a must, trust me it is worth it.Shiggums

Get Xenosaga 1-3 and marathon them if you want a great story. It should take you at least 70 hours to get through all three. Valkyrie Profile 2 is another really good one, though it's brutally difficult at times.

Other noteworthy titles are Disgaea 1+2, Tales of the Abyss, Wild Arms 3+4, Grandia 2+3, Suikoden 3, and the .hack//G.U. games if you are a .hack//ROOTS fan.

Why not Suikoden IV? :?REVOLUTIONfreak

Cause Suikoden IV is a really bad game compared to the rest in the series, the others are great though

Those along with Suikoden (personal favorite) FF (or course) and Xenosaga.

Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX....There you go....All of those are available for the PSone (I think...Not sure about the numbering system, but I'm pretty sure even the *** ones are on the PSone in English...) ...So yeah get those...

As for the PS2, I think Magna Carta looks cool.

suikoden 3 - Everything about this game is superb. Check out gamespot review if u dont believe me.

Shadow hearts covenant - This is one of the rpg game i enjoyed playing for the ps2.

yeah i was thinking of getting magna carta. I played enchanted arms for the xbox 360 and i was surprised to find it entertaining, even though it got a 7 on gamespot. Magna carta got the same score so i think i might have to see if this game is underrated also.

the tales series is great and they have alot of gameplay hours. i spent over 70 hours on tales of symphonia.

.hack//G.U. hasnt been mentioned much, i like it even though its a tad tedious...story is great...original(underated)

i agree with most of the posts though...everyones naming good ones...Shin Megami Tensei is a personal fav. too
