Practice, practice, practice. You've probably heard it a million times, but that's the key. Keep trying to improve on the parts you do the worst, and trying to get as far as you can without missing notes. The Practice feature will become your best friend. :) Also try mastering the techniques of Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs. Hard and Extreme difficulty (if you wish to try those and complete them) rely on them heavily, and without the technique down fairly well, your strumming hand will be cramping up and wearing out pretty darn fast.
