PS2 and widescreen?

Ok still new to PS2 but just wondering if there is a setting to change the displayt to 16:9 for the games?

Can it be done?

I just got a widescreen tv :)

Most games have an internal widescreen setting, but you can change the video outputsettings of you PS2 through the settings menu. Good luck with your new console.
