Currently looking at a 460 GTX on newegg.. evga is sold out and I see gigabyte, but I'm wondering about zotac.. anyone have any experience with them??

Does Zotac offer the same warranty as EVGA? If not, go with EVGA, register the card, and enjoy. :)Damn.. I'm thinking about bitting the bullet and taking that superclocked EVGA version.. only 20 dollars more. I don't really trust anyone outside of EVGA and XFX.

zotac offers 5 years warrenty(2yr + 3r after registration) i have used my 9500gt for over 18months without any problem and now i am using zotac 9800gt from 3 months and i am happy with it. i think zotac is the company that offers things at cheapest costs with best warranty service.

I'd stay away from Zotac's 460's.

Just wondering, what's wrong with the Zotac version? I nearly bought one but ended up getting the MSi OC edition.
I believe them and Palit skimped on the retail versions of the 460's.Could you elaborate? What did they skimp on?

They didnt have heatsinks on the VRAM I believe. There was a big thread about it here.[QUOTE="MaoTheChimp"][QUOTE="clyde46"] I believe them and Palit skimped on the retail versions of the 460's.clyde46

They didnt have heatsinks on the VRAM I believe. There was a big thread about it here.It was the VREG's that lacked a heatsink, not the memory. Also, Palit has come out and released a BIOS update that fixes the fan-profile problem seen on their cards, and IIRC, they fixed the problem on most (if not all) of their release stock. I don't think the OP would encounter any issue by purchasing a Palit GTX 460 at this time.
