I just bought a XFX 5770 with 1GB DDR5 and installed 10.2 drivers and CCC. After installing I was surfing the internet and running other various programs and my screen all of a sudden had vertical line with small boxes all over it. The problem kept flashing in and out. Here are my specs: ASUS P5N-D motherboard. Pentium Dual Core 2.9 E7500. 3 GB of ram. 460 watt power supply. Could the problem be with the drivers? Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have more than one monitor hooked up to it? Powerplay can cause artifacting on the desktop if you have two monitors with different resolutions. It tends to happen when the clocks jump up from the lowest idle speed.

Go for it. They should give you a nice performance boost as well (or is that 10.3a only?).

It MIGHT be an issue with your PSU.. The minimum requirements is to have a 450w psu and thats cutting it close. I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it but its just a thought.. and did you make sure you removed the drivers of your old video card? that might cause some issues. I actually got the card 2 days ago myself :) mines the xxx edition
