From what I understand some people managed to hack somehow and used level 1 characters on trial accounts to kill players on multiple EU servers.

I'm guessing they somehow managed to get their character enabled with GM commands and used /kill (or similar commands) on everyone. Not sure how they did it though since these kind of commands will be kept server based. They probably somehow got access to server files or a GM's account, or it could have been a pissed off Blizzard employee that's on his/her last day at the company before being fired.

That shall be the 9/11 of WoW.

Ok I know now how they did it. It was a regular hack or cheat program they used. The same type of program you might have seen years ago when the game was out. It was a bunch of guys from a website I won't mention here, that managed to somehow get a kill command working. It also worked on bosses.

It's been fixed...for now.

I honestly think occasional things like this can make a game more interesting. Just seemingly random events that are completely unexpected.

Well, first of all, I am happy to see new areas, rather than the remade ones in Cata on the same continent. Also, the new zones are best looking, both artistically and technically. It feels like a current gen game. A lot of work has gone into the quests, and they are fun and entertaining. A lot of things to do at 90, no putting on a tabard to get rep like in Cata. Instead you have lots of dailies like before in various zones. Also just like netherdrake mount in TBC, you have to go through full questing/ dailies to raise a serpent mount.

And as we know, WoW has become more and more casualised over the years, but the casualisation in MoP, I am happy with. Talent system is different, you get the obvious talents in the spell book, that you may have chosen before anyways, the one you do get to choose now are gamechagers, and completely affect your sttyle, not to mention you can change talents at any point to play how you want to. Another great thing is that they unified mounts, pets, achievements and titles. Before you had to grind them for every character you had, and I could never be bothered with achies. Now that they are shared across your account, its nice to be able to use a mount or pet you acquired on another character. ALSO there are pokemon style battles with your pets, which you can fight against other players or the critters in the environment, and add to your collection.

In terms of dungeons, apart from the normal and heroic mode, there is a new challenge mode. This is more of a skill test as every player gets a standardised same ilevel gear, the faster you do it, the better the reward. And there are leaderboards for it with your times.

Did something like this in Vanilla myself without hacking. Kited That dragon from Blasted Lands to SW AH and he just kept killing lowbies and healing to full for almost an hour. GM had to come and despawn it.
