You might have to turn off the auto spell check.  That uses alot of resources.

Yes, I'm sorry. With that rig, I think you'll be relying on Notepad for the forseeable future.

On low maybe, but it would make your cpu usage at 100% and that cpu will overheat and give you lots of bsod's so I would reccomend gettign something better.

I think only NotePad and Paint will be running on that setup @ high resolutions. But dont try to run them together, it will crash.

You'll have to turn off the spell check to run Word. Spell check is very demanding.

You'll need that, the Flux Capacitor and 1.21 Gigawatts of power to run word with all features.

Well, Microsoft Word is the least demanding of all Office products. Powerpoint made my computer crash. Looking at those specs, I would recommend saving up another 5K to double your specs, and you'll be able to run it on high. I think the new Radeforce XXX9999GTXTXLPRO model would be better than 2 8800GTX's, and also, your ram is outdated, I would recommend running it with at least 8tb of RAM, 4GB just won't cut it...

I'm barely able to run pong with 12tb of RAM, probably should go with 16 just to be on the safe side...

Impressive, I squeezed out half a frame with my GeForce 9999 GTXGTGSGTX. Don't ask me how I managed to do so, considering word is the most demanding program there is.

Okay, so I just tried microsoft word, and nothing happened. I was able to write my term paper with out any problems. Then I tried Call of duty 2 and it ran pretty smooth on maximum settings, then I tried running battlefield 2 on maximum settings, and it worked fine.

Then I thought, How about I run call of duty 2 and battlefield 2 at the same time!!!

Man, It was fast!!!

this is one fast computer!!! and to think that I thought that it coulden't run microsoft word!!!!

You might be able to run MS Word 2003, but I would recommend upgrading to some 8950GX2's and a much faster processor to get MS Word 2007 to be usable.

I'm surprised you can even turn your computer on!  Surely your power button is jammed by obsoleteness or something?  Also, it's impossible to run MS Word on anything higher than a Pentium I 133Mhz CPU with 8MB RAM and a 512kB Intergrated Graphics Chip.  If you go higher than that, your computer will simply crash and burn.  The next possible rig (according to MS) that will be able to run word at more than 1FPS will not be available for at least antoher 16 years.  I'd suggest not buying a computer until then.  Wow i have a feeling that MS Office 2008 is gunna pwn Crysis!  I CANT WAIT!

It should run at about 30FPS if you turn the resolution down to 800x600.
