Which character do you like better? (Shepard vs. Geralt)

Default Shepard from Mass Effect  or Geralt from The Witcher?

I did not even play as default Shepard, though it was nice bagging Williams and the Asari

I've watched the TV series of The Witcher (Wiedzmin) and Geralt was pretty cool, like a sad hero, but in the game , about 1/2 of the game he's kinda like a robot (maybe this is 'cos I played the original game without EE though the other half of the game he's cooler)

Anyway, I can't really decide which one is better

My lesbian Shepherd is hot. Geralt is not.

Oh, and I consider my lesbian Shepherd the default Shepherd. There is no other.

Bland in what way? They are both incredibly tough, though Geralt is far more cynical. I think his look in particular gives me a refreshing appeal. 

Shepard is very squared jawed but the voice acting at least for the default is so convincing especially in conjunction with the excellently rendered cutscenes.

Both characters were alot better than in other games, it may be just a result of my preference of ME over the witcher but i prefered shepardCheveros

Bland as in that they are your standard action dudes, though from what I played of the 4th Splinter Cell, Shephard seems to have a bit more personality than he did in his other games. I agree about the voice acting. I've always liked Ironside's work in the games.

i made my shepard a female, and had lezbo relations with female blue alien. lol

the witcher seems fun, but fantasy rpg's are dying to me,  they need to be revitalized.  we need a great fantasy rpg, not some ok one that everyone boasts up to being great.

which is why i like sci-fi rpg's more, because there are less of them, less of the same thing done millions of times.

which is why i enjoyed mass effect more than the witcher. 

This is a flawed comparison IMO because in Witcher, you play as one character only (Geralt...who is a bada$$), but in Mass Effect, you can choose the character and which personality he/she will exhibit. First time I played as the default male John Shepard, who was a goody-two-shoes kind of a guy, always making paragon choices. The second playthrough, I made a female who was ruthless and threatened to shoot off anyone's head if they got in her way. I liked "both" Shepards.
