Your video card is the only thing that you should consider upgrading. Maybe a GTX 570.

Video card, it's not bad but it is the most outdated part. Everything else is top notch...

The GTX 570 is between the HD 6950 2GB and HD 6970. Much closer to the HD 6970 though. I usually just say that they are even.

Just get the GTX 570. It is about on par with the HD 6970, but I think it does better in most games, and if you are upgrading for BF3, nvidea seems to be the name to go with since they are paired with BF3.

Get a CPU cooler and overclock the CPU.

GPU I'll hold off upgrading unless there is a particular game you are having problems with. We are already well into this gen and new cards cant be that far away, you might as well wait a bit longer. The good thing for you is that your CPU wont bottleneck the next gen GPU's, the real benefit of getting a high end CPU.

And how about a better monitor/TV or speakers/headphones??
