I know a lot of PC games aren't compatible with other gamepads like Logitech so I've decided
to get an Xbox wireless controller for PC.

Is there a difference between a normal Xbox controller and one for PC?
I'm looking for cheap ones on eBay but they don't seem to have PC specific ones.

for xbox or PC they are the same. You just need the receiver if you want to play on the PC

Or you can get the wired one that simply runs off plug and play from the USB - which somewhat makes sense considering how intimate you are with the screen and the cord is long anyway. You could also find a 3rd party 360 controller which will also work. If you go for a wireless option, make sure you dont have a 360 in the same vicinity.

Yep, they all work.

If you want to use a wireless one, you need a wireless receiver for Windows. Many people make the mistake of thinking it will work with the charge & play cable, but it won't.

Wait, so the plain original Xbox 360 wired controller works for the PC either way?

For the wireless controller there is Amazon. I got mine when it was on sale and for some reason it was $20. Right now its $47. It comes with the wireless receiver.
