What's the best recent racing game?

I just finished FlatOut 2, n now ima get back to finishing this. Whenever im done w/that ima borrow Carbon off my friend. Although from talking to some friends, MW is better because theres more to do, i guess. I tried out both demos n got Most Wanted cause i wasnt feeling Carbon as much.

looks yes, but it has no multiplayer in it lol, maybe not lol,, for its tragic really. 

personally i like colin mcrae games (especially 04) which is odd since i have absolutely no interest in rally. all i know is colin mcrae is a driver....after that i got nothin (i think it might have cars and courses in it :P). even stranger? i prefer to play them with the directional buttons on the keyboard.....weird i know.

anywho mcrae is always fun. another racer i like is trackmania (united being the latest version). crackin racer with mad tracks (think fzero or wipeout....on steroids). some of the stuff the community comes up with is really excellent. theres a free game called trackmania nations which will give u a very good idea of what it is about.
