The easier way to determine whether your power supply is good enough is to check the wattage rating. The sticker should be on the side that faces you when you open the case.

Well, we cannot tell you whether or not your PSU is powerful enough without at least a wattage figure.

Yes I know but look here: http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?http://www.ocinside.de/html/results/xigmatek_tauro_500w.html. Claims to have 500w And here http://uk.hardware.info/productinfo/158596/xigmatek-tauro-power-force-700. Claims to have 700w Aren't they the same?

Nope - 1 is a 500w unit and 1 is 700w unit................................DOH!

My friend you have 2 choices run the tiny bit of software that would have told you by now what your wattage is, or removing your PSU and looking more closely for the sticker that will have all the details on.

Ok I ll do it.. I didn't want to right now cus its 00:00 and I'm on my ipad. I will install the program later but can you tell me if a 7950 is worth getting? My friend told me he could get me a 7950 for only £200 (new) and that its able to compete with a 670?? Many reviews say its a mid-range card but I feel since its the second most powerful current AMD card won't it be considered high end? Thanks for all the help so far :D

Yes a 7950 is a high end card that at its base version would be just under or equal to a 670 performance wise - though for £220-240 you can get a 7950 from a store with 2 free games http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-msi-radeon-hd7950-twin-frozr-oc-be-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-880mhz-1792-cores-dvi-hdmi-mdport-plus-free , this one i would think is better than a 670.  With your friend do you have a gurantee etc?

i am not sure but he seems to be sure about what hes doing he has a business supplier(apparently) and he alswasy tells me the price of things he can get when i ask him and its generally 100£ cheaper than it should be! :) the deal is that i just give him the money and in 6-7 days he tells me the card should have arrived... btw i have a B75 R2.0 motherboard but im not sure its compatible or anything. i am not computer savvy.

Before you buy a 7950 you need to make sure your power supply is good enough and that your case will actually fit one.
