not much difference like the only things different are weight and comfort pretty much

I use a 5+ year old mouse that came with a Dell.

You see price differences because of a few things. Ball compared to laser, ergonomics, extra buttons, fancy lights.

I use a basic optical mouse by Microsoft. Gonna get a new one though. Any suggestions? Will a gaming mouse like the g5 make me better online?

Logitech G7 wireless laser. The battery life is slightly short and it's a little on the heavy side, but otherwise I love it.

The Logitech MX518 Gaming Optical Mouse.Herrick

yeah me too! Its great because it can increase its sensitivity much higher than a normal mouse can, which works well for lots of games, and makes playing halo 2 properly possible.

Me 3! Being able to adjust the sensitivity on the fly is very handy. Nice fit, nice weight, looks cool.

Logitech Optical M-SBF96. It might not be wireless, but hey, I never have to change the batteries at least. Very impressed with it so far, response and movement is very fast and light.

you wont notice a difference unless you area pro gamer. I upgraded from a microsoft laser mouse to a G5, and I think I've been getting slightly more headshots since. G5 is more comfortable too, and changable mouse sens comes in handy.

I use a Razer Copperhead...its one of the most expensive out there. The real difference is its 2000 dpi laser and it's 1000 hz ultrapolling, meaning its much more responsive, and yes i definantly notice the difference between it and my old mouse.

I had an MX 510 untill it broke, so I use a MS explorer 3.0 now. The MX 510 had better specs but i didnt notice any difference between the two apart fromthe extra comfort theMX 510 provides.

Are you kidding me??? I'm not a pro gamer and I notice a huge difference between cheap optical mice and high end gamer mice. What's the real difference? DPI!!! and BUTTONS!!! DPI basically controls distance that the cursor travels with the movement of the mouse...the higher the DPI, the larger the travel distance. Buttons also help for firing, reloading, tossing grenades and physical attacks in FPS's.

Me too. Best mouse I've ever owned. As quick as any corded mouse, and laser-accurate. The recharging stand barely feels necessary--the internal battery lasts ages.

Basically, it's perfect. :)
