ESO, The Division, and The Crew look pretty sweet. The jury is still out on how I feel about Destiny, but I am sure I will try it.

The Repopulation looks the most interesting without a doubt. It is however developed by an unproven studio, but so far they have done a good job showing the game's progress and so far it looks pretty good, save for those awful, awful animations, but I dont play games for graphics.

Pretty sure you can edit the title. Unless that changed with the site being rebuilt from the scratch (and forgetting a lot of features this site once had). Just edit your opening post and you should have the option to edit the title.

Destiny is not an MMO and will not be on the PC (all per the developer); Darkfall Unholy Wars came out in 2013 and is pretty much a bust; World of Darkness is not coming out until 2015, if at all; Black Desert might make release in Korea in 2014, but not here. In fact they do not even have a North American publisher yet; Star Citizen will have alpha and betas in 2014 but the full release will not until 2015.

Am really looking forward to The Crew. Shame it got pushed back so far. The Devision also looks pretty good.

With those two games and Watch Dogs, 2014 should be a big year for Ubisoft.

ArcheAge also looks interesting. Haven't seen a lot of it recently, though.

@C_Rule: Archeage flopped hard in Korea. So unless Trion releases the game in a much stronger state, I would stay away from it.

Atm Wildstar looks interesting, other than that I'd rather play WoD or FF14 ARR.

Thanks for reminding me of Life is Feudal, I remember it being bought up a bit before but ntohing after that, looked really cool though. I really hope we leave the dark ages of the mmo genre soon, and those games look to move the genre out of the dark ages and into a new glorious age.

Both sandbox and theme park MMOs can co-exist.... just saying. One shouldn't have to die to have the other available.

I personally believe sandbox MMOs aren't more popular because of the open world PvP. Look at how many people play on PvE servers, they don't want to be doing quests and then get slaughtered by a higher level troll.

I'm really looking foward to The Division. I'm also interested in The Repopulation. I'm currently playing Darkfall Unholy Wars and it's a fun PvP game but it needs work and more of a population, it's got some nice updated in the past couple of months though.

Yeah, there are more Theme Park MMOs these days.

I'm guessing it's because either 1) they are easier to produce (maintain) or 2) they are more lucrative

@FelipeInside: High budgets mean taking risks are not something most devs want to do. Dont want that 50+ million project go to waste. Also, sometimes things are just taken for granted on how to develop an mmo so the devs end up creating a product that may be too similar to WoW without the devs truly realizing it. Of course, I am not saying that all themeparks are WoW clones, take GW2 or TSW as examples, but still I am sure you understand what I mean.

On the bright side, the future looks a lot more balanced. With far greater balance between different mmo styles than we had in the past decade.

Don't even know why Destiny is on that list.

It's not coming for PC, and it's not an MMO.

Its not on pc, yes but if you consider this not being an mmo what is it then? I don't know many online co-op games where you can go inside a town to see hundreds of other players and form groups for raids and such. This is just Borderlands x10 with actual towns where you see ppl chillin in

It's more like Guild Wars 1 was. Towns act as a lobby I think.

Sure but GW1 was pretty mmo'ish. Destiny may not be and probably won't be a big mmo like WoW but a mini mmo for sure.

Yeah call it a mini MMO if you want. GW1 type of game actually had another name, but I can't remember what it was.

I had monster hunter freedom on psp and loved what i played, unfortunately the wlan switch broke and i couldn't use the online features, i didn't get far but it left a good impression.

Minster hunter online looks fantastic, and just generally fun
