what good FPS competitive multiplayer to buy?

olol anything but shootmania

games: cs 1.6, quake live, tribes ascend, bf4 (bf3 comp is kind of dead now, and the comp is decent), uberstrike

I mean the only reason to get into Shootmania is if you have a load of other fps experience (cs players are actually favored for the style of aiming) and plan to just win money in the tournaments while they last because nobody watches them. (100,000$ tournament, 1000 viewers , quake live's daily tournaments have 1500 viewers and dreahmachk/quakecon have around 7000)

Tribes is kind of low profile in comp scene now, but tribes ascend 2 should be coming in the not so distant future I've heard and that'll bring it back.
There actually is a ladder opening up on NATribes, Zubin and I were allowed to heavily influence the rules. It's basically for people who just like to click dots in flashgames. We are entering it ofc. http://natribes.com/ It's not up yet.

CS:GO is pretty bad, just go to 1.6, even css is a lot better than CS:GO. Problem with CSS is the community is bad. Full of 13 y/os and generally afk players.

seriously here. if you want serious competition. then get shootmania, and tribes ascend. if you want just active MP communities that maybe are a little cut throat get blops II & CSGO. thats basically how it handles
