It crashes every 5 mins unless you do this: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=89138It takes about 20 mins to fix and now it runs fine, no crashes. :P
Work: Half-Life 2 & Ep 1 (usually), Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, UT2004, FEAR (patched), Jade Empire, C&C3, Medieval 2 (some minor issues), Dawn of War, Titan Quest.
Don't work: Defcon (upset), Quake 4 (disappointed), Fable (Surprised), LOTR:BFME2 (Meh).Â
There was an excellent article in the May edition of Games for Windows magazine about this. They printed a chart of many new games and any issues they have with Vista. Definitely worth a look.
I have vista premium... Having problems running Galactic Civilizations II. Also having trouble patching certain games like Dawn of War and Civilization IV. I have found that downloading the patches from a third party source and running it outside of the game is better with Vista than using the in game patching systems.Â
 Anyone else getting this problem?
Call of Duty 2 works, steam games, ea sports games( a lil choppy)
Civil war A nation divided doesnt
I've read people have had a lot of problems with X3: Reunion on Vista.
I really need to pick up Vista for gaming, it looks really coolDouglasBuffoneFrom everything I've heard XP is better for gaming currently. Once Directx10 is required Vista of course will beat out XP.
I'm not upgrading until it's absolutely necessary. If there was a viable alternative to Vista (or if I was able to buy a version of Vista without all the gimmicky crap forced into it) I'd buy it in a second.
