So yeah, seem to be missing 796 MB's. Didn't have this problem with 4GB.

On top of it all 3 programs give me different totals of installed RAM.

Any help is welcome.

Task manager is not showing 6GB's

Plus task manager is off 3 MB's on total RAM.

Task manager is showing free + cached = 5352 MB's available. Which is not 6GB

It does show 6GB. That's your TOTAL RAM. That 1GB you see, is the memory being used by Vista.

Yeah, think I am losing my mind. been having trouble with my GTX 280 for a long time now and I still can't get it to run stable. Though 64 bit vista seems to be alot more stable.

Was getting e4 codes in 32 bit vista now I'm getting 1a and 117 in vista 64.

So I have no idea whats going on I tried everything.

This card does not like going over 70 Celsius.

I have that card on 64bit vista and its running sweet. then again, I have 6 fans, no overclocking and the power pluged in correctly :)SEANMCAD

I'm going to make BFG give me a new card. This isn't even OC'ed. I always have to turn the fan speed 80% or I get slow down and 30 mins to an hour later crash or BSOD.

That's not the real amount.

I'm still missing 3 MB. Where did it go? I don't know. It it isn't worth the loss FPS to run 4 sticks of RAM and the 500 years for vista to cache it all while it slows your HDD down.

Are you really worring about 3 mbs? Seriously what would you gain from an extra 3 mbs out of 6 GB's? You have over 6000 MB's of ram, be happy. Nothing is perfect.

Now.. 1 Mib = 1024 Kib. 1 Gib = 1024 Mib. Just to make things clear.. The missing megabytes is held up by hidden services. A little feature from our friends at Microsoft. Nothing to worry about. They're there but they are hiding..
