Thinking of replacing my 645gtx with a 760gtx 2gig (its 200 bucks Canadian) but was wondering should I wait for dx 12? I have windows 8.1 and never upgrading my windows so is dx 12 even an issue for me?

TIA.

@Sleepyz:

DX12 wont be utilised in games for a long time. I would wait for the GTX960

DX 12 does not add anything new to the table over DX 11 besides lower overhead and more control over gpu resources. Which is why most DX 11 based gpu's will see some of the gains from DX12. Also as GTR has stated DX 12 based games wont start being used until after MS releases the new windows. And even then it will take time, so dont expect DX 12 games until late 2015 at the earliest.

But a GTX 760 will be a very nice upgrade from that 645 its 3x faster.
