If you know your way around a firewall then just get the anti-virus, the MS firewall is very configurable now and can be setup pretty damn securely if you wanted it to be.

Ummm, interesting, and although I do not know the way to configure a firewall, this did not answer my question. I still need to know if Smart Security brings antivirus or not. I still need to know.
Ok, I installed Smart Security, and I "uninstalled AVG", the one I was using. Problem is, it apparently didn't fully get uninstalled, it's still there. It says it didn't uninstall properly, and even when I go to control Panel, I can't delete. What should I do?
Just before I do, is it recommended (Safe) to use CCleaner to uninstall? I mean, I don't want to end up with some really important program getting uninstalled at the same time, which may be vital for my PC.
DLd, installed, I ran the program and all, and it never runs the uninstaller for AVG. FYI, I already "uninstalled" it, only it says it didn't do so correctly. I can't scan, but if I click on the icon, it still opens. Any other ideas?
Actually, I checked, and it is apparent that AVG is turned off while I installed SmartSecurity, hence why the program still exists and it does not scan. Nevertheless, why the heck does it does not uninstall?
Deleted from the registry, I tried deleting the folder, but it says AVG is still in use and that it cannot be deleted until it is stopped. So, Task Manager and I stop the AVG programs?
That could work, or Reboot, and then try deleting the folder. Should work, if that doesn't work for some reason, boot into safe mode and delete the folder.
Well, before I tried anything, I made some research and found this:
Someone wrote first u should click the START button..and go to the RUN....and type REGEDIT in small letter..the a folder wil be open...the left side of that folder u can see hds key n users key like that...maximize that + signs n u can c software there..click on that software n u can see avg 8 there...u can delete avg from there.n check all hs keys n software there n delete avg frm there...after that u can install new antivirus....
Think it's legit enough, safe enough to do? I already used RUN and made the command, found the folder, so should I delete it there?
Why?? AVG is not good.. Use Avira.. I am using Avira.. I have no problem to face..For better computing use the following softwares.. tuneup Utilities ,Avira, Malwarebytes which is available on this site
