Hey guys.

As the headline says, I want to upgrade my PC and I need some advice:

1.Video card: I saw ATI HD4870 and it looks promising, problem is I dont have a moniter that has full HD support, so wont it be a waste?

And can you pls recomend other video cards that worth checking?

2.RAM sticks: I currently have 1 gig RAM and I want to add another stick, will another 1 gig be sufficient?

3.CD-ROM: I currently have 160 gigs and its getting pretty small, but I dont want to buy like a huge hard drive sinceim not gonna use this

computer longer then a year and a half, so how large the second CD-ROM should be in your opinion?

Thank in advance.

First, CD-ROM is not a Hard Drive lol. If you game on your computer alot then you are going to need a larger hard drive if space is already getting low unless you uninstall old games. You can get 500 GB hard drives for like $80 so its not that bad. For the rest we sort of need to know your computer specs. You may not have a strong enough power supply to handle the 4870 and if you are stuck with DDR ram instead of DDR2 then getting another gig will be kinda expensive and probably not worth it.

Your CPU might bottleneck the 4870 depending on what it is.
