dont get counterstrike...its a good game...but the learning curve is very high, and as someone who has little to no experience with PC FPS's...you will simply stand no chance whatsover.
so I would get BF2...or a comparable game....and their are no online charges for PC FPS's.
cs:s is very noob-unfriendly, so be prepared for a whooping. but otherwise, it's a very good game.
i'd get tf2 (the orange box, to be exact), if i were you, even if you have a console version.
Yeah, I wouldn't get CS, considering your experience with PCs FPSs (or lack thereof).
I'd get Team Fortress 2 or Battlefield 2, they're both excellent games. If you want a more realistic game that's warfare-like then get BF2 (it also has vehicles), if you want casual fun and an entertaining and enjoyable game get Team Fortress 2 (revolves around teamplay).
Personally I think TF2 is the better buy at this point.
i think im ok with takin the whoopin that everyone is claimin will happen if i get counter strike because i hear it is very good. however im very interested in the vehicles and more large scale aspect of BF 2. what about PC requirements?
thanks for the help so far
For TC look at this site to see if you can run it.ferret837
I know that's the commonly prefered site but I would recommend cross-referencing it with this site GL and I would recommend BF2/2142/CSS/UT04 for Multiplayer and Bishock/Crysis for Singleplayer...and Far Cry 2 looks to be pretty good coming up. Hope that helps.
