I use Noctua, there're 2 more recommended from Arctic Cooling MX4 and MX2 - many recommend the MX4 but it's not recommended for beginners since the paste is more hard to handle.

Also some are better to use on CPUs while other on GPUs.

Watch some benchmarks and reviews, I already did my research :P

Why not just get some more EKWB compound?

If you want a change then Arctic Silver 5 or MX-4 are top notch.

I just use mx-4 and if I run out I usually have some mx-2 which is almost as good.

I got it with the CPU block when I bought it. So never actually went out and purchased thermal paste itself.

MX-4 seems to be mentioned several times now.

@PredatorRules: As for MX-4 being hard to handle... I leave a drop in the middle and let the block itself squeeze it out.

Yup, for a good reason too =) I was a newbie so I bought the Noctua one since I didn't want to risk anything.

Put a medium sized blob in the center and then just put your heatsink over it, and you're done. Not much to mess up.

This.

Also as I said, from what I remember the MX4 is best used on CPU, the MX2 on GPU and the Noctua I use is somewhat in the middle for both.

Whatever you'll choose will be good, unless you want top notch performance on both GPU and CPU.

also http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/thermal-paste-performance-benchmark,3616-17.html keep going with the pages on this one.

Exactly what I do.

As I will most likely use thermal paste more than once in the near future.. Perhaps I should purchase both MX-4 and Gelid Extreme.
