Probably will take it easy this sale. Getting The Last Guardian on the 1st of the month with my paycheck.
Stuff from my wish list I am interested in.
Alan Wake - $6
Bulletstorm - $5
Far Cry 3 - $5
I'm just about ready to go ahead and buy Dark Souls III, Dragon's Dogma and Stellaris, and seriously considering Life Is Strange, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak and Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. However, I'm still a little hesitant because I'm trying to "attack" my backlog right now, and I'm really in the mood to add more to the pile.
Also, have you seen War for the Overworld? It looks like the Dungeon Keeper spiritual successor I've always wanted.
@uninspiredcup: Noticed some reviews of that new Shantae game. Never was aware of the franchise before that.
Ditto.
Was hoping to pick up Little King Story as well, but no discount. :/
Steam seems to be offline, can't access the website or the client.
Thought it was just me. I'm having problems with the client and the website too.
This overall sale is quite lackluster. I've only purchased Final Fantasy XIV along with the expansion. I have some time off work, perfect time to start a new mmo.
Cheap of shmup and platformers.
Bought Turok for 5 bucks
And Day of Defeat (classic)
Nice. I was waiting for Turok to come on sale.

I want this one too. Despite the infamy, I had fun with this game growing up.
So looks like I will pick up Turok, Golf with Friends, and maybe Daikatana.
Only picked up Shadow Warrior 2 to play some 4 player co-op. I already purchased the other games that I want or the prices still are not cheap enough on certain games to make them worthwhile right now.
I did buy some other games for my brother.... Shadow Warrior 2, Dying Light, and SOMA on Steam. I also bought him Titanfall 2 from the Origin Store.
I got DOOM. Stoked on it. Loving it so far. Would pick up No Man's Sky if it dropped to $20ish or less. And I will, eventually, when it does. I don't care what anyone says, it looks like exactly the game I always thought it would be, and I'm still looking forward to it, especially with the additions in the Foundation Update, and more to come. I just don't buy anything for more than 20 bucks anymore, unless it's Blizzard. Got very used to not playing new games while I didn't have a video card in my computer, and even now that I do, I'm in no hurry.
Not Steam, but I just picked up Crysis 3 on Origin for less than $10. Been waiting to play that one for a long while. Got a little ways into it. Good so far.
Also, just remembered to check, and Arkham Knight was down to only $10 for the full edition with the season pass, so that's a go as well.
I have such an insane backlog to begin with, so I just snagged Door Kickers for 3 bucks. Awesome game.
Only thing I picked up was the western front armies pack for Company of Heroes 2 for $5. Not much free money to spend on games.
I really wanna pick up Tyranny and while I'm sure it's well worth the $40 it's on sale for, I just can't justify spending $40 when I have many other games I have yet to play.
Update: I agonised long and hard over my buy list. Decided to hold off on Dark Souls III until all DLCs are out. Still have doubts about Life is Strange, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and Homeworld. In the end, I went for these:
Stellaris + Plantoid Species DLC
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Abzu
Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster*
Endless Legend - Tempest expansion pack
* Yes, I know there are probably better Final Fantasy games, but I've only played minutes of VII and VIII. In contrast, I must have put in about 16 hours into X on a friend's PS2. I have unfinished business with this game.
I'm trying so hard to not spend any money in the Steam Sale...
I made the mistake of adding every game I've ever wanted to my Wishlist and now Steam seem to have messaged me a hundred times with every game I can now save money on.
I got a whopping £20 of Steam credit for Christmas, and I want to guard it with my life lol

The ones you picked up are the best ports. So you probably did make a good decision.
I almost bought more but stopped myself this will keep me busy for awhile.
also still got The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC i need to play
Bought MGS V and Dragon's Dogma. They're good games but I'm spending a lot more time in Skyrim: SE (got for free), GTA V (dat black friday gmg sale!) and GG Rev (bought day 1). Not satisfied with the price for EDF 4.1 so I'll wait for the summer sale on that one.
... none. I was good this year! Plus... backlog.

lol wow. And I thought me getting 17 emails was bad. While I would have just preferred one big email, I guess I should be thankful they had it in small batches else I'd have 70+ emails.
@Sleepyz said: Crashlands 11 bucks.
It's also on sale for like $2-3 for the mobile version on both Google and Apple. Because the save file syncs to cloud, you can play between devices. It's almost worth it just to see how well they implemented it. (... but it is a good game!)
Not much this year actually.
Torchlight 2, because a buddy wanted to play it, seems ok so far, but I played D3 on the Xbone and MUCH prefer the controller set-up over KB/M for aRPGs. Also bought the second founder pack for Paladins since it was half-off. Got the item I wanted for Kinessa on my second crate so I still have 700+ gems to get other items I want.
Bought MGS V and Dragon's Dogma.
I bought DD:DA last sale and got around to playing it a month ago. Just couldn't get into it. After 20 hours I think 30% of my time was spent traveling the same road repeatedly to get to my mission areas. Another 30% was micromanaging my own stats and gear as well as that of my main pawn. The remaining 40% or so was actual combat/dungeon running. Way too much busy work/tedium, not enough good stuff IMO.
@SerOlmy: I totally get what you're saying about DD: DA. I'm really not feeling the lack of fast travel, the lack of gear I get during large monster battles and the missions I'm on right now. There was one time I was managing my inventory and saw I had gear for my pawn and I had no clue how I got it. There was no message that popped up that told me I got the gear at any time. Plus, the missions I'm on right now are lame. One is I have to capture a thief. Unfortunately I'm a huge warrior and the thief is twice as fast as me. There's no way I'm gonna catch him. The other mission is I have to tail someone. Dude, I'm a huge friggin warrior. I want to beat shit up, not follow someone around. It's gonna be a "free time on the weekends only" type of game for a little bit longer.
They marked down a lot of new games, which I think is awesome. Granted they're not as good as older games for like 5 dollars, but Planet Coaster for 35, Warhammer: Total War for 45, and Dark Souls 3 for 25 is pretty awesome.
As for what I bought, I actually did not buy anything since I already own so many games lol. It's not that Steam sales suck, it's just I can afford to buy games I want now lol.
*Actually that's not true, I bought Tyranny, Dark Souls 3, and the Novalogic bundle (for nostalgia's sake..Tachyon: The Fringe is such a great game! Bruce Campbell, space pilot!)
The Division, Dying Light The Following DLC and the latest Batman Arkham game (which was a mess when it was released). Was looking at Rocket League, will probably get it next time.
* Alien: Isolation
* Bioshock Infinite
* Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
* DOOM
* Far Cry 3
* Oxenfree
* Papers, Please
* Portal / 2
* Psychonauts
* Salt And Sanctuary
* SOMA
* Spec Ops: The Line
* Strider
* Undertale
* Wolfenstein: The New Order
* The Walking Dead
* XCOM 2

I got Stardew Valley, Cities: Skylines (on bundlestars), The Guild 2, The Guild 2 - Pirates of the European Seas, Grand Ages: Rome (gold), Sid Meier's Pirates!, Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide (on bundlestars), Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2, Age of Empires 3: Complete Collection, and Shadowrun Returns.
I spent 950 on a new pc yesterday so I only spent less than 60, albeit I really took a while to figure out what games I wanted.
