They are becoming a joke now. £49.99 for Assassins Creed Syndicate (or as i like to call it, Assassins creed 2007).

How on earth is this being charged at that price?

As a matter of fact, a lot of Steam games have risen in price this last year or two. This is why i haven't bought from Steam for over a year now, i go 3rd party. The prices are a joke, even the last Sales were piss poor.

That's why you shop at 3rd party websites that do sell steam keys, like g2a. It seems they buy a huge amount of keys at once hence getting some sort of discount.

I rarely buy games from steam these days, even in sales.

CDkeys.com Blops III is £21.99

Steam is £39.99

I'm sorry I've not purchased anything internationaly; are those things region specific? I hear Steam sometimes has issues with keys, but that might be BS.

AC Syndicate is an AAA title from Ubi which been released a day or two ago, what do you expect? have you ever saw new BF or CoD game being sold less than 60$ on the first couple of months after release?

You have to wait for sales to get good prices on Steam. You're never going to get a good deal on a new AAA title on Steam outside of a big Steam wide sale.

Recently we had a recent update from Steam for KSA/UAE regions, where the currency was changed from USD to SR/AED and now we have to deal with the new pricing nonsense.

Let me explain what's new:

New AAA games for 60 USD = 220 AED
After this update, all 60 USD games with the change in currency to AED are now 299 AED

299 AED = 81 USD
Now I'll have to pay 21 USD more for any game priced in 60 USD previously. (if I have to buy from Steam directly)

Now for other 3rd party sites selling keys, it's quite risky as Steam could not accept keys from different regions. Can anyone confirm if this will work out?

The game itself is pretty cool. To me it's almost like Titanfall mixed with CoD. But it's not worth more then $40. I'm glad, I got it for cheap.

I dunno, I see tons of console games at prices I would never pay. Could be worse, I remember when some games back in the 80's/90's costing over $60 no matter how bad they sucked.

UK prices are going up a lot and taking over consoles prices too for PC. Even online shops like Amazon are rising there prices. Did I see that Steam is not doing midweek flash sales any more too and other sales?.

You must have really wanted that game but at least Turok was a good game in it's time. Not sure what the most I ever paid for a game was but I remember paying $64.99 for Last Battle on the Genesis which was a crappy game, although most games on it cost that much when it came out. I also remember during all the hype of Street Fighter 2 for SNES, at least one store in my area was charging either $120 or $125 for it on release day.

AC syndicate gold edition is £69,99 lol. You don't even get a blank disc with steam on it.

Gold Edition

The Gold Edition includes the Standard Edition and the Season Pass.

Valve will not run any flash or daily deals during its Steam autumn or winter sales according to eurogamer. guess this means an even smaller reduction in game prices during steam sales.

They are a joke since we entered "the new gen". I remember a good bunch of releases that were $50 before PS4/X1.

Steam have PC game prices more than the console counterparts now. They are dreaming. I just buy off Greenman Gaming however even they have become more expensive with some titles such as Fallout4.

I tend to buy games from 3rd party mostly , my last purchase from steam was metal gear , I wanted ground zero as bones , but even on origin I preoreder dragon inquestion on g2a for 40$ here . Sometimes I go to local places to buy games , depends on what on the table .

I m away from PC for while. Cant wait to Play Fallout , hope Christmas sales are good to buy it and buy some good games for the winter :).
