TESLA in teh house. ALAN WAKE is coming in 2008, so I have donned 2008, "The Year We Wake UP" but you must say it in a movie announcer voice and be overly serious.

I'd bet against the game releasing in 2008. We haven't seen a single thing since X06, IIRC.

I still want it though.... Here's to hoping it hits PC this fall!

At one point in 05' Alan Wake looked really photorealistic. When I see it now it looks rather dated in some spots. Coming from Rockstar I know the story will be top notch and intervening.OoSuperMarioO

Any release dates given at Gamespot or anywhere else are just estimations. Remedy has said fairly recently that the release date is still "when it's done."

i can't be excited because it will be only for vista and i'm not thinking to go to vista. maybe there might be a hack or something .Donuruca

Get over it and get Vista ol' man. There is nothing wrong with it. How can you expect a new OS to simply cover for all those ancient games that were made 5 - 10 years ago..

the reason i don't want to vista is because i don't want my performance at games ext. to drop.

My games run like garbage on vista, so I dual-boot. I hope they get some of the slowness of DX10 fixed before Alan Wake's up.

whether or not you like Vista, it's just plain wrong to make games Vista-only when there's going to be millions of people using XP for a good deal of time to come, not least because those who don't like the sound of it/can't be bothered/don't feel like spending the money are simply going to wait for the next OS

How did they word the release date? For instance, did they say Remedy confirmed this date? Did they just say "it's coming out June 4th?" Was it just in a stat listing like "release date: June 4th"?

Because I have my doubts about the legitimacy of such a date. In Remedy's offical FAQ, which was last updated January 30th, they still it's "when it's done."
