Need some help. I meet the system req for the game, Just that I can hear the game going on, but the screen is black and I can not see anything. When I press buttons I can hear it do something but can't see it. What should I do?

I had the exact same problem as you. I

It's the pixel shader. You likely have 2.0, and assassin's creed uses 3.0

The way to fix it for both of us?

Buy a new card.

Yes, it sucks, but theres absolutly nothing we can do about it.

I have a ATI Radeon x700 pro pci express video card 256 mb. I can't seem to find how much Pixel shades it has, you say you need a 3 to run this game, and seems to be that way with most games.

Many newer games do require that you have pixel shader 3.0 or they will not run. A new graphics card is the only way to go to play them.

you don't meet the system requirements. you could use the upgrade anyhow. i have a 8600gt; you can find it these days for like $80 or even less if you search carefully. i can run the game on close to the highest settings no problem. the game isn't very taxing on a rig that meets the minimum requirements (which are pretty high).

actually i had the black screen problem too, and i have shader 3.0, just updated my drivers and it worked

Also try installing the latest EAX.dll I've heard it sometimes fixes sound/black screen issues
