Deus Ex: Human Revolution. No doubt.

Hard Reset. It's $20 now but it was $3.75 during the steam winter sale. It's a really good game.

And last but not least, Dead Space series.

Hi zecce,

For Sci-Fi FPS check out the Mass Effect series, the Halo series, the Crysis series, the Bioshock series, the borderlands series, Metro 2033 etc.

For Strategy games check out World in Conflict, Starcraft Series, Rise of Nations, Rome: Total War, Sins of A Solar Empire, theCivilisation series, Supreme Commander, C&C Tiberian Sun and Red Alert II etc etc.

Hope those help.

That reminds me i'm going through my backlog at the moment and currently playing Arkham City (never finished it but such an awesome game) and after that i still have to finish Dead Space 2.

Game has many scary moments where you almost jump out of your skin :P I think im going to play it with all the lights on when i get back into it.

Prey is a very cool sci-fi FPS that you might enjoy.

I played it on both the Xbox 360 and on the PC, but I think it can be very difficult to find for the PC (something about a lack of codes, if I remember right).

You need to add the Mass Effect games to that list, they are must-play games (some of the best games ever made).

It shouldn't have to be said, but play the Mass Effect games in order. Also, understand that your actions carry over to the other games as you progress through them, so weigh your choices carefully while playing the game.

I'm gonna second this. If you haven't played the ME trilogy, go for that.

Mass Effect series is a must play for any gamer. Kotor 1 and 2 were amazing but a bit dated now. Fallout series from 1 to the modern ones is amazing too but I think it falls under post apocalyptic genre.

fps and strategy? dont look further than planetside 2 and natural selection 2. both combine the two extremely well in very different ways. both also have had great post-release support by the developers.

The BioShock series is a great FPS game, with a well written story, good dameplay, and a unique atmosphere. I'd reccomend that if you're into FPS games.

You should also try out the Crysis series, whose games are the best looking games to ever come out. They also have a sandbox element to it, so they're pretty fun.

As for Strategy games, check out Starcraft 2.

Yeah, the Dead Space games are great too.

DS3 is coming out in about a month, so I'd recommend you get it. But, you should play the previous two games before the third.
