Red Alert 2 - Yes or No?

Well I assume this was a good game judging from the reviews and praise. But I never had a chance to play it back when it was released. So, my question is, does the gameplay still hold up? I loved Starcraft and played it to death. Now, I know the graphics of RA2 or pretty dated by today's standards (i've played DoW and CoH). But I want to know if I'm missing something great or if I should just pass and get RA3 when it is released?

Also, if you still play, how is the online community? The computer AI? Smart or Dumb?

Yes. Red Alert 2 is one of the best RTS games I've ever played. Yuri's Revenge is about just as good, I think (balance isn't particularly well done, but that doesn't really hinder the fun in the campaign and skirmish).

The graphics have actually held up very well believe it or not. It's one of the better looking 2D games imo
