What the topic says. Tried some suggestions from GOG forums (redownload some of the files), but it's not working. Is there a fix (without me redownloading the entire thing (I have the patch) over again)?

don't know but im downloading the EE right now. When in the process did you encounter this error? Is it during the actual installation? or during the d/l?

The actual install, near the end. Of course I could ignore it and it would finish, but being that it's a movie file, that's probably not a good idea. (Since the game could crash where it's to play, after all.)

Just checked the official Witcher 2 forums, there is a fix for this, all you have to do is download and replace a file in the EE patch folder.

Yeah, I downloaded part 2 (actually 3rd in the manual download list, not the second) and replaced the one I pre-downloaded, and the install worked. I was so glad... I had to re-install the game first, though.

Now you guys have me scared about clicking the launcher for TW2. I bought mine from GoG, so if I start the launcher, so does the patch.

Don't worry about it. I had to end up deleting the entire patch data (after discovering that I kept having to replace MORE files after I did 2, then 3, then 4....) and just redownloaded it through launcher. It's the same files. And this time, it actually worked!
