I've been having a blast playing the alpha of this indie MMO called Project Gorgon. It reminds me of older MMO's like Everquest 2, Asheron's Call, and Ultima Online. The developer of Project Gorgon worked on Asheron's Call as well. Recently, we've gotten a lot more publicity and there are a lot more new faces playing the game.
The dev is also extremely receptive to feedback on the game. Probably one of the best developers I've known in gaming The game has an amazing community, and the only cons are the dated graphics and the lack of PvP content beyond one area in the first town where players can battle.
