Problem with Half-Life from Steam. Please help!

I just bought the Half-life Anthology off of Steam, and was playing Half-Life. The problem is that the words aren't all there, it's just Ns and Us and Gs with large spaces inbetween and the screen is far to the upper-left of the screen. I can't enjoy the game with it like this. What do I do?

dont know what to do but that sucks. sorry for false hopes if you saw my comment and thought it was advice lol.

It's ok. I doubt I'll get it fixed and I'll have wasted even MORE money on PC games that don't want to work.

Don't know about the screen problem, but you could try this for the text problem.

I did the first one, and I still have text problems. I did get my screen back on track though, so I can still enjoy it more. Is teh text important?

WOW, I interpretted your question completely differently. Sorry, but I have NO idea whats wrong with that. You should seriously contact Steam Staff, and attach that image to the question. You can do this in the support section, if you know where that is.
