Hello everyone,

I'd like to have some reccomendation about the next game I'm gonna play. I was thinking something like Skyrim (and other TES games) or Black Desert.

That would mean:

  • Open world
  • Non linear storyline
  • Awesome powers / abilities (like the shouts in skyrim, or the magic system in Black desert)

These are the only points I can think of right now :) Please help I looked in every list or forum and haven't found anything :/

Oh, I have already played:

  • Fallout saga
  • Mass Effect saga
  • Dragon's Dogma
  • Dark Souls
  • Just Cause saga

Thanks :) :)

Two Worlds 2 is fairly open world rpg but its got a really shitty ending, and you don't feel as powerful as you do in skyrim, but its an alright open world game and it has pretty nice graphics compared to some. I'm not sure if they meant to do this or not but i found the main character funny as hell, he says the dumbest one liners when he kills things.

Although Skyrim is a much bigger game and i'd say its only half as good as Skyrim.... although the combats about the same, pretty basic stuff.

You could try Witcher 3 but its semi open world because the areas are split up into map sections, which is, theres a point when you run to the edge of a map and hit an invisible wall, its pretty annoying... but its still fairly non linear and open world if you ignore that. But its a much better storyline then Two Worlds 2 which i can't even remember what the storyline was except the guy was looking for his sister then the game ended all a sudden and it really was disappointing storywise.

Black Desert looks really good, but i have no idea when its coming to NA

I'll check out some Two Worlds 2 gameplay :)

About The Witcher 3 I forgot to say that a friend of mine will lend me the game as soon as he's done with it (which will take some time) and the game I'm looking for has to keep me busy in the meanwhile :) Sorry if I forgot to say that :)

And yes Black Desert looks really badass, hope I'll be able to play it soon!

Ya play the witcher 3 damn game is a master piece. Other then that Oblivian, or skyrim along with their 1000's of mods are a good place to start.

I already played Oblivion, Skyrim and Morrowind so I'm looking for a different game :)

Whenever someone asks for an open world RPG, I will always recommend Gothic 2, the finest Open World ARPG ever made.

Edit: If you dont mind non-action RPGs. Wizardry 8 would be another good recommendation. Wizardry 7 is better, but may be a bit outdated for some.

Gothic 3 with some mods and community patches is pretty good, dated ... but pretty good.

Fantasy rpg: Kingdoms of amulur, lord of the rings: war in the north,

open world action: crysis 1, far cry 3, far cry 4

horror rpg: dead island, dying light

sci fi action comedy rpg: borderlands 1,2 and prequel

sci fi horror: dead space 3 (somewhat open worldly)

Two worlds isn't very good imo.

Two Words might not be very good, but Kingdoms of Amalur is downright horrible so I'd avoid that recommendation. Two Worlds is a way more interesting game than Kingdoms of Amalur.
