Please help.. maximum pre rendered frames?

Hi guys came across this setting in the Nvidia CP and wondered on your experience with this? read a fair bit online, understanding is 1 is for low input lag while upto 4 offers a smoother experience? currently have this set to default.. is default set to 3? is this theory correct? what do you guys use? btw input lag never effects me as i mainly play console ports with a controller and notice no lag at all.. thanks!

Yes, default is 3.

As i understand the option does nothing in most games, it depends on the engine/game.

You should only use 4 if you are being forced to play at 30fps (for lack of resources or whatever reason), and using a controller.

If you're getting 60fps then no point, leave default. And if you play competitive shooters set it to 1.
