High points:Three Diverse sides; quick multiplayer action; best full-motion video cut scenes in years.

Low points: Combat may be too frantic for some. Alien plot feels tacked on to the main story.

Bottom Line: C&C 3 returns to the franchise's roots with great looking non stop RTS action.

They also mentioned that the multiplayer interface is the best one that they have seen and that the alien race feels like they added an expansion on to an already complete game. They were happy about the graphics and the way the game plays. They mentioned that each side has tons of units that all have their own unique play style.

One of the things that may make many of you happy is the system requirments.

P4 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 8GB HD space, DX9.0c 64MB graphic card with 8x DVD ROM.

They reccommend a P4 @2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, 128 MB video card.

Not too bad for a cutting edge RTS. They didn't mention if the game is multi-threaded so I don't know if dual core will make a differance in this one. The only complaint that I read about that I would have liked to see out of the game is that the camera cannot move out as far away as they would have liked. It's a problem that the game engine has had ever since generals but oh well.

GIVE US THE DEMO NOW EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait!!  Thanks for the post!  CnC is back baby!!!!

Quote

Considering they gave Generals a 78% I would say this is a big deal for C&C fans that were dissapointed in Generals.

Pretty sweet they only had one compliant about the game and that was the camera.

It is also a big thing that they said they feel that it is like a complete game with an exspanion with it.Which means your getting your money worth with this game.Have to give EA a grads on doing something right.

I can't wait to see the responses from everyone after playing the demo.

This developement team is not the same team that made Generals and Zero Hour in any way mirrored shape or form. The past is the past, and the past two years, we've turned support around drastically in all areas. With match broadcast coming, live teams impending, this is not the same EA you knew 3 years, and really, this is about EALA, about the current C&C development team.

You are right, we still have much ground to prove, we'll continue battling.

Now lets get to WCG!!!!

I consider this a high point. I was worried that the gameplay is toned down for the 360.

Wow! That trailer is amazing. I am not a huge RTS fan, but I am a big fan of games that have huge production values. This game looks amazing and I really enjoy when they integrate good cut scenes. Might have to pick this one up...

One of the things that may make many of you happy is the system requirments.

P4 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 8GB HD space, DX9.0c 64MB graphic card with 8x DVD ROM.

They reccommend a P4 @2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, 128 MB video card.

are you sure those specs are genuine?!
cause from the videos it looked as if it would require more than those recommendations!!

i aint complaining, it just doesnt seem right...
ill believe it if i find a official news abt the requirements...

for now, ALL HAIL KANE!!!

Yea PC Gamer comfirmed low specs i havn't read the review myself to see the exact specs, but i know the guy on the forum is probabley telling the truth as a EALA worker comfirmed that they did are front cover and let PC Gamer and that they did get a 90% from them.I'll post the offical statement from EA.

Gimme a break, can you just accept that we got a good review? Seriously, let the devil inside of you go...this isn't the mafia, Command & Conquer 3 is every bit as good as a 90 deserves and i'm not gloating, i'm just confirming.

I can confirm that we did indeed get a 90 from PC Gamer and we're extremely excited about it. We are on their April Cover which subscribers are starting to get right now. North America magazines ship out a month earlier than what they say on the magazine, so April edition gets to subscribers late Feb and on shelf early March.

The reviewer did indeed play the full game and every single inch of it. We're in the process of finaling the code so of course when you have an opportunity for a major review cover, tough to pass up, especially for C&C, so you set some caveats and notify of certain bugs that are in the process of being fixed by going gold, but the game is absolutely playable and reviewable right now. Hence the PC Gamer review. They have an early review because of their magazine ship dates, so we gave them that opportunity, and of course, we're excited about the results. And just for reference, Supreme Commander did the same exact thing with PC Gamer when their review issue hit at the beginning of February and now their game is on stands.

ok... i got something, BUT IT ISNT DEFINITE...

http://www.commandconquer3.com/cnc3_system_requirements.html

In several interviews we have heard that CNC3 will be using on The Battle for Middle-Earth II SAGE engine. In a recent podcast a designer re affirmed this however adding that you might want a little bit better performing graphics card. Based on that we have pulled up the following information. Our assumption is that you should have a little more than this.

Probable System Requirements For Command and Conquer 3:

Required System:
Microsoft Windows XP
PC with 1.6 Ghz equivalent or higher processor
256 MB of system RAM
512 MB of system RAM for online play with 3 or more players
6 GB available hard disk space
8x speed or faster CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive (for the Collector's Edition)
64 MB GeForce3-forbidden cards with ATI (Radeon 8500 or greater) and Nvidia chipsets, and the Intel GMA 900 and GMA 950 products. The GeForce 4 MX is not supported
Sound card with speakers or headphones
Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
56.6 Kbps or better modem for 1v1 online play
Broadband connection for online play with 3 or more players
DirectX 9.0c or above.

Minimum Required Specs:
Windows XP or Windows 2000
1.3 GHz Intel Pentium IV or AMD Athlon processor
256 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce2 or equivalent video card with 32 MB RAM
DirectX 9.0b compatible sound card
4 GB available hard disk space
Please note that while you will be able to play The Battle for Middle-earth(tm) with the specifications above, play experience can benefit from additional RAM, above the required 256 MB
Nvidia GeForce2 MX is not supported.

Well since BFME and Generals[I think] are based on this engine if you can run those well you should be able to run this decently at least.
