I never played Fallout 3 or New Vegas. So, the VATS way of shooting is new to me. Fallout 4 being an RPG, I don't mind. Good thing I have an AI companion.
Is that the default HUD appearance, or is it like that because of power armor or something?
Power armor. This is the default UI without it. The FOV can also be better. There's no built in adjustment for FOV or *gasp* gamma within the game. I think you can adjust the FOV via .ini file. Not sure about the gamma though.

So yeah, just played through the whole "Darkening of Tristram" event in D3. Pretty cool. Definitely not a full blown remake of D1, and it was actually a little disappointing that all of the environments were the same assets that already appeared in various places in Diablo 3, run through the "old school low res" filter. But there's plenty of nostalgia to be had. Lots of sound effects, such as some monster noises, doors and chests, and the clinking of gold being dropped, are ripped right out of Diablo 1. As is the music. And damn near every unique monster from D1 makes an appearance (Gharbad the Weak! Yes!). There's also a handful of item drops with names and art that are taken from D1, such as the King's Sword of Haste, and the Godly Plate of the Whale. Plus the Red Soulstone piece that you get at the end is a sweet socketable for a helm, that also comes with a boss looking helm transmogrify option. Overall, pretty cool. Worth spending a few hours on. I'm gonna start a new character for the new season and go through it again.
Also, along with the anniversary event, Diablo 3's new patch today brought in more Anti-Aliasing options, and Ambient Occlusion. Definitely makes a noticeable difference. Game looks much smoother and crisper now.

The only caveat with storing images here at GS is every image you post or link to, including those from other sites, get downloaded here. The image files in your profile can pile up real fast. It can be a chore to scroll down. That's why I try to keep the number of images under my profile to under 200.
@saintsatan: It really is. I get about 70-80 fps on my 1060 most of the time, but it'll drop down to like 30-40ish quite often for no reason at all from what I can tell. They are doing a DX12 update later this month so maybe that will help.

Nope. Cait did most of the work on the behemoth. She's really deadly with the gauss rifle or whatever you call that gun she's carrying. I have a similar gun and it's hard to get head shots with VATS or any shots for that matter even with a scope. The ratio to hits vs ammo use is poor. But, it has massive damage when the bad guys get close. I only use it when the other guns are running low on ammo.
Cait can be an irritating companion sometimes. I just got the good graces of the Covenant folks. Cait all of a sudden started a fight with them which turned them hostile. I had to start that part over and keep her away for a while.
She probably stole and picked locks when I'm not looking. ;)

I'm beefing up the defenses of my settlements because I plan to double-cross one of my erstwhile allies. You can probably guess who. ;)
Getting more and more dangerous. Behemoths, deathclaws......all at the same block. I waited for raiders to kill the behemoth first before going after one of the deathclaws.
Just started playing MoH:A for the first time (thanks to a guy on Steam forums that posted a workaround to make it work on modern systems). So far, it's working like a charm on W10.
