@blangenakker: Magnificent. Simply magnificent!
Helping out. It's what I do!
Smoking kills.
Yay for bugged out enemy. Will collect loot however.
Customizing and growing settlements is by far my favorite part of the game. You can even scrap a lot of things in the area for raw materials.
@uninspiredcup: Is that a Chocobo? Beautiful specimen!
Yes, ammunition in a trash can, that seems reasonable
My accuracy is not so great, apparently...
The early game does not encourage exploration. Far too many insta-death moments, even on the lowest difficulty setting.
Uh oh. Hehehe...
@uninspiredcup: Sounds like a very useful and majestic animal companion
More like...child of globby goo!
ANYONE ELSE WANNA TRY COMING THROUGH THIS DOOR?!?
BAM!
Sneaking up on the zombies!
Suited up and ready for adventure!
Chambering the .308 adds quite a bit of damage. Ammo is hard to come by, but most vendors have it, and it is semi-automatic, so it doesn't really waste it. Most enemies die in 1 or 2 hits
Rimworld
Bought the game yesterday because of this article. I usually don't want early access titles (especially not for $30) but I immediately fell in love. I still don't really know what I'm doing most of the time but I'm having so much fun.
5 seconds after stranding on the planet a panther ate our cat Fritz which really killed the mood for goold old McTitties. Even days later he's still sad.
A heat wave killed most of the potato harvest so everybody was living near starvation for most of the time. The former Midworld chef and now full time nudist of the colony even tried a bite of a bandit raider who had been dying in the woods for several days because I didn't have a prison yet. Got herself a food poisoning and kept vomiting on everything for hours which I sadly didn't take a screenshot of.
Luckily the potatos are finally ready to be harvested though so everybody will probably live on for a couple of days. Playing on one of the easier difficulties.
My prisoner will also be happy. She's a little uncomfortable being naked and all but nobody will try to eat her I guess. I'll try to get her to stay. She lost an eye while attacking the colony but I really do need more people.
@nethernova: It's cool some of the stories you can get out of the game. I had a couple get married. The next day a raid happened and had some of my colonists get shot down, the raiders kidnapped the husband.
*munches on popcorn*
some fantastic pics peoples thank you! :D
I guess it's not actually clear from this pic. Hitting the raider with a 5.56mm round caused them to fly up into the air! :O
Gotcha!
As you can see, Lana is not the only character that opts to go without the restriction...of pants!
Why is this mannequin smiling...?
BUSTED!
Night night.
Found a room inside a mountain with some alien bug things and a couple of sleeping pods. Don't know what's in there because I can't defeat those things yet.
Then some rare animal showed up that looks like some sort of pokemon. Nobody was skilled enough to tame it :(
Got a pet alpaca instead. Everybody loves him but I guess sooner or later he will also need something to eat.
Right now everything is running smoothly. Everybody has enough to eat and there are wild parties while throwing horseshoes. I'm ready for the next disaster.
Oh my goodness people are making colonies and things! What is this game called I wonder! I forgot... :(
Game over.
Bam
Bam again.
Just having some funs with V.A.T.S.
@blangenakker: Ooo I see. Making colonies out in the rim eh? Good luck I bet you'll make the colonists happy
Wow that's great news I think...
I equipped my sniper rifle with a recon scope, it doesn't work perfectly but it can come in handy for tracking enemies
Hmm...soft...cuddly...fascinating. Ok...I'll be confiscating this for further...study!
Moar!
I really...don't understand how these settlers could have a problem with a few raiders. Didn't they try...idk...shooting at them. They've also got about two dozen heavy machinegun turrets that rip through any raiders stupid enough to get near the settlement.
Ooo...this is cool. Settlers can use power armor that I leave in the settlement. :)
Lol, again. Right. 2 T-60 power armors and like 10 other heavily armored settlers. The raiders would be running as fast as they can with very stinky pants
After I got past a certain point in the main quest, the Brotherhood of Steel showed up (like in the trailer) and now they're going around trying to bust up our shenanigans
That's not...very good cover...
@roachyogi1: It does look very cute! Just try your bestest and you'll do fine!
@The_Stand_In: GJ Space adventurer!
With 10 (max) Agility, Lana can be quite stealthy without even trying apparently
It's a kitty!
A robot...cooking a meal for themselves?
@uninspiredcup: Ooo you look like you're having fun!
One of the major issues in this game was already a minor issue in Skyrim. When people die, their bodies remain in the world forever. This issue has not been fixed in Fallout 4, and made worse by design decisions by the developers (periodically, settlers may be killed). Now, the way to fix this on PC involves one click and one command (disable), but if you bought the game on consoles I assume you'd be screwed. There's no excuse for this.
As you can see, Lana is now wearing shoes and pants. Very much a "combat chic" look.
The 3rd-person aiming is...unreliable. After missing repeatedly at point blank, I activated V.A.T.S, took the 95% to hit shot, and got them on the first try.
I don't actually eat the food that I cook in the game, I just like the fact I can cook it and sell it. Just another way to make the world a better place.
I found another sample...for study...
Mind if I assssk you a few questions?
Like I mentioned before, I make my settlements very secure. Although I often get quests to defend them, raiders and such are often dead before I can locate them and get off any shots. Here, even a raider in power armor was ripped to shreds.
Hopefully I won't get banned for this...because if we're honest, this is strong pornography
@jimseek: Ooo look at you Race driver!
Hehe...surprise!
Another sample for study
*zoink!*
pfft. Who needs to waste ammo?
@Grey_Eyed_Elf: Ty for sharing it's all very colorful!
@blangenakker: Be careful, anything could be hiding in those trees!
@uninspiredcup: Tyvm for sharing that Penguin picture!
Unless you're after a DRM-filled nostalgia trip, I'd recommend the current-gen console versions of the game over the PC release. The PC controls are the best they've ever been, but the console controls are better, and feel definitive (i.e. you can walk and dodge) and just plain more fun. The PC version does look noticibly better in terms of character models compared to the PS3/XBOX 360. Not sure if that's still true for the PS4/XBONE.
Anyway, it was $20 bucks and I was curious. Here's my Demon Hunter - Lana. Not Lana nVidia like on the XBOX, because only consoles have the ability to have...spaces in their names.
As you can see, she is fully armored, but because of "vanishing" dyes most armor slots are just showing the base armor.
This is Skyle, my monk! ^_^
She is currently on a mission to find and recover the crown of King Leoric...wait, what?
...what?
...what!
WHAT?!?
How many of these are there?!?
