Pc controllers with Vista?

I wen out to wal mart yesterday to look at pc controllers

and none of them said that they were comatible with Vista

can someone help me find a pc controller that is compatible please

You can buy Xbox360 controllers for the PC now! They are sure to work.... but they cost a bit more.
