Nice. I'm planning on buying one when it's available. I get motion sickness from playing some regular games so this is good news for me. This will be great for games like Outlast and survival-horror/horror games in general.

Thanks man!

Well, that is an improvement. Maybe now it might just be worth the effort of putting on... just maybe.

Looks cool, but I feel like I would rather purchase a 3D setup.

3D's cool, but this is like being IN the game.

Maybe someone knows this, in older shooters, I means 1990s old, there used to be keybinds that would turn your head, but sometime around (before) the original Far Cry these bindings ceased. I mean, from a non-VR perspective, it's quite pointless to be able to turn your head without turning your gun. I would think they would have to rebind that to the oculus rifts gyro somehow. I'm curious if older games will have to be retro-fitted with these bindings back in.

The only problem with that is it doesn't cover your peripheral vision, kind of ruining the effect. Besides, with this headset, you can turn your head in game!! :D

The 720p version was just a prototype, it is my understanding 1080p was always the plan for the retail release. They are all dev kits right now that are for sale, you are not getting an end product. As much as I want to jump on it now I am trying to hold off until the real release.

Cool video of a guy playing Skyrim. He splits the screen show you can see him moving his head and what he is looking at.

Make sure you fast forward to 14:10 and see how when a dragon flies over he is actually looking up at it and following it and hear his remarks about it. This is what I am really psyched about. I love watching people using this thing and the enthusiasm that they display with their experience.
